Smile Design

What is smile design?

Smile design is a cosmetic dentistry technique used by dental professionals to artistically craft a beautiful smile that enhances a person's unique facial features.

We give you self-confidence with smile design

This procedure aims to obtain natural and beautiful teeth, considering the face shape and the needs of the dental structure, for teeth and gums that have lost their natural and aesthetic appearance because of dental problems.

In some cases smile design can be achieved with simple treatments, but sometimes more complex treatments may be required. Your plan is prepared for you through the step-by-step process described below.

Questions about Smile Design

How does smile design work, step by step?

Your dentist examines your teeth, gums, smile line and face, then takes impressions and photos. The photos are analysed on a computer using the golden ratio, the result is applied to a model, and finally you see it in a trial session.

How smile design works

You see the result before we begin. Every step is planned before anything touches your own teeth.

  1. Examination

The dentist evaluates and records the position and structure of your teeth, the shape of your gums, your smile line, how much you smile, and your face lines and proportions.

  2. Impressions and photos

We take an intra-oral impression and photos of your teeth and natural look. We also ask questions to understand you and your wishes better.

  3. Golden ratio analysis

The photos are transferred to a computer program and the ideal tooth length for your face measurements is determined with the golden ratio formula.

  4. Planning on a model

The determined tooth structures are applied on intra-oral models made from your impressions.

  5. Trial session (mock-up)

In a pre-try session called a mock-up, we show how your teeth will look at the end of treatment without doing anything to your own teeth. Then the procedures begin.
